Phoenix Crowdfunding Campaign

Counselling Sessions - Support Emotional Wellbeing in Your Community

Phoenix is an established voluntary organisation providing counselling to adults and children. The team is made up of our founder Fran Halford and an amazing team of 100 volunteer counsellors who all have considerable clinical counselling experience. We are all volunteering extra hours to meet the ‘here and now’ needs of people’s emotional and mental health.

The ethos of Phoenix is to ensure we do our part in supporting our community’s emotional and mental health.

This free service has been set up to run alongside our low cost service to ensure that, at the time of need, people can access the counselling they need.

OUR GOAL IS £30,000

We don't believe in waiting lists.....

Once lock down is over we will immediately offer a face to face service for anyone that can come to our centre, but will maintain the virtual counselling service, to ensure access to those who can’t actually get to our centre.

Why Do We Need To Offer This Service?

Our lives have changed in ways no one could ever have imagined in the past 6 weeks, and no one knows when some sense of normality will return to our daily lives.

During these frightening times, we’ve seen the very best and bravest in humanity.

NHS employees and their families, key workers, teachers, carers, to all those that have worked behind the scenes to ensure that we can get our supplies and all types of services, who are still working on our behalf to ensure some sense of normality in our daily lives and all the volunteers who have reached out to those who are vulnerable and isolated.

For countless people the impact of this on their lives will be traumatising and it will take many months before they feel any control again.

Right now, many are at breaking point. What they are going through will significantly impact on their emotional and mental health.

Living with self-isolation, loss of social and family connection, loss of income and restricted freedom, mixed with fear for the safety of those in contact with Covid-19, all serve to erode an individual’s emotional well-being.

Donate a Session - So we can offer free counselling to those most in need NOW

Counselling can help an individual gain control of their thoughts and feelings and, at the same time, provide an outlet to talk freely and gain peace of mind.

With your help, we will offer free counselling , at this difficult time, because no-one should have to ignore their emotional wellbeing because of an ‘inability to pay’ or have to wait months on a waiting list.

How Will Your Donation Make a Genuine Difference to a Person's Life Today?

£50 will pay for 8 sessions pf parenting support

£75 will pay for 12 sessions of play therapy for a young carer

Our goal is £30,000 - then we can offer over 3000 sessions to those in need, including
