Phoenix Community Recycling Programme

Phoenix is unique as a community counselling service, in that we are supported by the local community through volunteering opportunities. Most of our volunteers have used our services in the past and now wish to give something back to ensure we can continue to provide our counselling service to more and more people.

Phoenix is a community interest company which means that at least 70% of our income must be raised through self-funding. The only way that Phoenix can continue to offer our bursary fee since the government funding cuts, is through our community recycling programme.

Phoenix welcomes donation of clothes that we can either sell directly through eBay or jumble sales or can be recycled through our partnership with EcoKids where we receive money based on weight.

We also welcome donations of clothes, shoes, bags, small electrical items, baby items and CD/DVDs. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to take books as we have not yet found a viable way to recycle these to raise cash.

Please ask your friends and family to donate whatever they can. Maybe you would even be willing to help us with collecting donations? Please call us for more information on becoming a volunteer.

Donations can be brought directly to our centre at: Phoenix Centre, 1-3 Hanworth Road, Feltham. Middlesex TW13 5AF, preferably between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday if you can. If you need to drop off your donation outside of these hours, please call first so that we can arrange for someone to be available to accept your kind donation.

If you have a large donation we can even arrange to collect it from you.

Many thanks for your kind support – it really does make a huge difference to people’s lives!
